Created & led by HOLDTIGHT's Artistic Director, Gwendolyn Gussman, attendees move through an abbreviated version of HOLDTIGHT’s unique process including physical movement, meditation, prompted writing, and open dialogue where participants delve into questions surrounding the beliefs that hold us back from change, our wishes for the future, and how all of this relates to our balance & relationship with the earth. Participants will find openings for exciting and fulfilling ways to discover creative material from their personal, lived experiences and receive glimmers of how that fits into our greater, collective world.
Process + Express is designed for bodies who want to move and explore, for individuals interested in developing new tools to use in their creative practice, and for those wanting to dive into the intersection between art, personal narrative, community, and nature. All are welcome.
These classes are sliding-scale $20-30 and accessible to all bodies and levels (you do not need to be a dancer or artist to come)! Live Musical Accompaniment by Ana Luna Uribe.
